Analia StrattonAlvin received a BA from Grinnell College before moving to New York City to attend Bank Street College of education, where he received an M.S. degree in general childhood education. While studying at Bank Street, Alvin taught in the Bank Street School for Children as an assistant teacher in a 9/10s (4th grade) class. Prior to teaching at KIPP, Alvin taught first grade in New York City.

Evin ChristmanAnalia Stratton joined KIPP Infinity Elementary after two years of teaching Special Education at C.S.102 in the Bronx. Ms. Stratton has taught both inclusion and self-contained classes at the lower-elementary level, where she has provided support for students with all types of learning and behavioral needs. She loves the warm energy of a kindergarten classroom and enjoys helping children with special needs become independent learners. Ms. Stratton began her teaching career as a 2008 Teach for America Corps Member in New York City. She earned her M.S. Ed. in Elementary Special Education from CUNY Lehman College and graduated with a B.A. in Communication at the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!). In her free time, Ms. Stratton enjoys reading, catching up on current events, practicing yoga, and visiting her family in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jordan RamosEvin Christman graduated from Hobart and William Smith with a bachelor’s degree in Art History.While studying there she was a member of the William Smith Rowing team and studied abroad in Rome, Italy. Upon graduation she joined the 2005 NYC Teach for America corps and taught in Bedford-Stuyvesant for three years and two years in the South Bronx. She received her graduate degree in Childhood Education in 2007. She is originally from Philadelphia.

Jordan Ramos attended KIPP Academy in the south Bronx as part of the class of 2008 and now attends The City College of New York. Throughout his educational career, he has been an active alumni in numerous KIPP programs and events. Jordan is now entering his junior year in college and hopes to graduate in 2012 with a degree in Education. When he is not devoting his time to school and work, Jordan enjoys outdoor activities and traveling. Social Worker
Lindsay FryJuliana Stevenson is from Silver Spring, Maryland and graduated with a degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland in 2006. After college, she worked in a K-1 classroom for kids with special needs, where she became interested in social and emotional development. She moved to New York City in 2007 to attend Columbia University School of Social Work where she completed internships at CIS 339 in the Bronx and KIPP Infinity Middle School. After finishing her graduate program in 2009, Juliana was able to join the KIPP Infinity staff as a full-time Social Worker for the 2009-2010 school year. She is extremely excited to be joining the team at KIPP Infinity Elementary School for its founding year.
Co-Principal/Co-Founder
Mario DerasLindsay is excited to be founding an elementary school next year for the newest members of the class of 2027. Prior to coming to New York City, Lindsay co-taught 2nd grade and served as the Dean of Elementary at KIPP SHINE Prep Early Childhood and Elementary School in Houston, TX. During her three years at SHINE, Lindsay worked on the founding team of three grade levels (kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades). In collaboration with co-teacher Stephanie Adams, she has utilized a differentiated constructivist and inquiry-based approach to help students excel academically and socially. Prior to joining the KIPP family, Lindsay served as a Teach for America Corps Member in the Mississippi Delta where she taught Kindergarten and 1st grade and founded a leadership program for the upper grade students. Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Psychology and completed her master’s degree with National-Louis University.
Theater, Dance and PE Teacher
Mr. Deras is excited about teaching theater, dance, and PE to the founding classes of KIPP Infinity Elementary School. He has a strong theatrical background both in performance and in teaching. As a performer he has been in several UNM (University of New Mexico) productions and community theater productions as an actor, dancer, and director. He has performed in "The King and I", "Romeo and Juliet", and several dance performances. He is disciplined in Flamenco and Modern dance and is a fitness enthusiast. He began his teaching career as a homeroom teacher in NYC and is ecstatic about putting on the first production at KIES! Nizaliz PaulinoNichol Starr graduated from The University of Texas in 2005 as a Senior Fellow with a degree in Communication Studies. After traveling cross-country, Ms. Starr joined the 2006 New York City Teach For America Corp, and in 2008 graduated from Pace University with a Masters in Teaching. Ms. Starr has taught self-contained bridge classes (grades 1-3) in the Bronx and provided Special Education Teacher Support Services (kindergarten-2nd grade) in Harlem. She joins KIPP as a founding teacher at KIPP Infinity Elementary School.

Perri LawrieNizaliz is excited to be a founding teacher with KIPP Infinity Elementary. Nizaliz joins the KIPP family with over ten years of experience in youth development predominantly after school programs for ‘at risk’ youth. For three years, she served as the Director of the Out of School Time program at PS 48, providing educational enrichment services to children during non school hours including summers and holidays. Nizaliz also brings a wealth of non-profit management and recruitment experience. Nizaliz is a graduate of City College of New York and holds a BS in Childhood Education and English. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Childhood Education. She hopes to one day found her own school.

Rae JacksonPerri Lawrie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Connecticut College with a degree in History and a teaching license in Kindergarten through 6th grade. While at Connecticut College, Perri studied abroad in Hanoi, Vietnam where she taught fourth grade English. Upon graduation, she tutored at the Selamta Children’s home in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia before moving to New York City. Perri began her professional career teaching Kindergarten at P.S. 385 in the South Bronx for two years, followed by a year spent teaching Pre-Kindergarten at P.S. 20 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan before joining KIPP Infinity Elementary in the summer of 2010 as a founding teacher.

Renee ChungRae Jackson joins the KIPP family after a year of teaching English at an Elementary School in South Korea. Before teaching overseas, she worked in NYC for 5 years as a lead Kinder/1st grade teacher at a school for children with learning disabilities. Rae has an undergraduate degree in Applied Learning & Development from the University of Texas at Austin. While in Austin, Rae worked for Americorps for Community Engagement in Education. After moving to NYC in 2003, she completed her Masters in Early Childhood Education at Hunter College. Rae enjoys traveling, reading, music, and yoga. She is very excited to join KIPP as a founding Kindergarten teacher for KIPP Infinity!

Shyla KinhalMs. Chung joined the KIES team in July 2010. Prior to joining the KIES family, Renée was the Recruitment Coordinator & Assistant to the Director of Admissions at Prep for Prep, a nonprofit organization that identifies New York City’s most promising students of color and prepares them for placement at independent schools in the city. For the last 3 years, Renée has formulated and implemented recruitment plans to cultivate relationships with school administrators in order to maximize nominations from schools in all 5 boroughs. She has conducted Parent Information Meetings at schools around the city to explain the program and application process to prospective families. She also coordinated the interview process for all candidates being considered for admission. Renée is a proud alumna of the Prep for Prep program. She graduated from the Trinity School on the Upper West Side and earned her BA in Sociology from Amherst College.

Stephanie AdamsShyla Kinhal graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004 with a degree in Political Science and Spanish. Upon graduation, she taught 2nd and 3rd grade bilingual education as a Teach for America Corps Member in the Bronx. In addition to teaching elementary students, she also is an adjunct instructor for Teacher U. As a founding kindergarten teacher at KIPP Infinity Elementary, Shyla looks forward to building a school filled with critical thinkers with a love for learning.
Co-Principal/Co-Founder
Stephanie will open KIPP Infinity Elementary School with co-principal Lindsay Fry in August 2010. She and Lindsay completed the KIPP Fisher Fellowship and are now working to research and design a school that is rigorous, individualized and inclusive. Prior to joining KIPP NYC, Stephanie taught at KIPP SHINE Prep (Houston, TX) where she served as a founding 1st and 2nd grade teacher. She also coordinated the Teaching Fellow program as SHINE's Instructional Coach. Stephanie also taught third grade in southern Louisiana as a Teach for America corps member. She received her BA from the University of North Carolina and her master’s from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
