Throughout their five years at KIPP Academy Elementary School our students will have a wealth of experiences that will help to shape their future academics, pave the wave toward college graduation, and lay the foundation for their lives.  Our goals for our students include the following:

  • To be on or above grade level in science, math, English and social studies upon finishing fourth grade – as reflected not only in test scores but in a deep understanding of the relevant material and skills.
  • To crave knowledge and be true lifelong learners.
  • To experience gym and music 2-3 times/week to help develop their musical ears and rhythm, their athletic abilities, and overall health.
  • To have poise and self-confidence – to carry themselves in a manner appropriate for different times and places.
  • To know and appreciate not only their own culture and heritage, but also to grow an appreciation for the cultural heritage of the many children living in New York City.
  • To be resourceful when they don’t understand something or need help finding a solution.

Above all else, our goal is for our KIPPsters to be excited to take on the challenges that lie ahead because they feel prepared and capable.
