With 99% of our students Black or Latino, 80% qualifying for free or reduced price lunch, and 100% admitted through a random, open lottery, our students and staff consistently prove that demography does not determine destiny.

In Math, 95% of KIPP NYC students in grades 5-8 scored at or above proficiency.
In English Language Arts, 83% of students in grades 5-8 scored at or above proficiency.

KIPP Infinity was in the top eight percent of all NYC public schools.

To and Through College

Over the last seven years, 93% of KIPP NYC alumni graduated from high school. By comparison, 46% of African American and Hispanic students across New York City graduated from high school during 2005-08.
86% of KIPP NYC alumni have matriculated to college. By comparison, 21% of African American and Hispanic male high school graduates attend college in New York State; 36% of all low income New Yorkers ages 18-24 matriculated to college during 2003-08.
To date, 26% of KIPP NYC alumni have earned bachelors' degrees within six years of high school graduation. Our objective is to have 75% of our students graduate from college. We’re currently on track to hit a 50% 6-year graduation rate in the next two years; nationally, the college completion rate in low income communities is 10%.
Over the last three years, KIPP NYC alumni have collectively earned over $8.5 million in high school scholarships.

General Survey Data and Attendance

92% of KIPP NYC parents either strongly agree or agree with the statement, “I would recommend KIPP to other families.”
94% of KIPP NYC staff either strongly agree or agree with the statement, “I would recommend KIPP to a friend as a place of employment.”
Average daily student attendance in KIPP NYC schools is 97%.
